Thank you to our sponsors, Meadwestvaco, First National Bank in Huntingdon, Juniata College and Sodexo Food Service for sponsoring our annual Silent Auction. Over 60 items tempted auction goers to bid, ranging from Farmers Market coupons to one-of-a-kind works of art. Bidders rose to the challenge, encouraged by auction MC John Dickison.
Jeremy Santos provided music, and auction attendees had a good time meeting old and new friends. As tables closed, youthful volunteers Eammon Hunter, Julian Groenendaal and Will Sulesky announced winning bids.
Our special thanks go out to all participants and donors! Your purchases ensure the continuation of art programs in Huntingdon County.
November 12 is this year’s date for the annual Silent Auction to support of the Arts in Huntingdon County. An Evening for the Arts opens at 6:30 pm and will feature refreshments, a wine bar and music with Jeremy Santos in the Ellis Ballroom on the Juniata College Campus. One of the top social events in Huntingdon, the Silent Auction also offers a timely opportunity for some early Christmas shopping. Items for bid range from the utilitarian to the extravagant: art by local and national artists, coupons for locally grown produce next year, dinners, books and much, much more.
Tickets are available online, at the Art Space, from board members or by calling (814) 643-6220.
