Join the Huntingdon County Arts Council in welcoming presenter and scholar Julia Spicher Kasdorf for a presentation and discussion of Rosanna of the Amish. The book of the same title was written by Joseph W. Yoder in 1940, in an attempt to dispel common views of the Amish culture prevalent during the first half of last century.

Yoder was a longtime resident of Huntingdon and worked at Juniata College. His studies focused on English and music with contributions to both disciplines relating to his Amish heritage.

The presentation is a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Cable Network. PCN will air this episode at a later time on PCN.

The presentation will be held at the Art Space at 212 Fourth Street in Huntingdon, starting at 3 pm on July 9th. Doors will open at 2:30 pm. Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended. Please call the HCAC at (814) 643-6220 or use online reservation.
