Following the smashing success of Roy Holm’s and Laura Campbell’s Capstone Show in April, Juniata College professor Bethany Benson has approached the arts council about the opportunity to make this show an annual event. The timing in April is very appropriate before the annual Spring Thaw show for Huntingdon county students in grades kindergarten through 12th , and the arts council sees this as a good opportunity for innovative shows and collaboration with Juniata.
Laura Campbell and Roy Holm had ‘volume’ as their common denominator. Laura used volumes of books as a means and canvas for her creation, whereas Holm generated voluminous sounds from his hand built drums based on Nigerian clay drums.
