Established in 2008, RAFT is a unique arts festival in the heart of historic Huntingdon on the banks of the Juniata River. Perfectly situated to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in beautiful Portstown Park while sampling local and regional art, meeting writers and musicians and engage in some hands-on art activities.
A 1950’s style ice cream float booth and Clem’s BBQ will quench your thirst and satisfy your appetite.
Our children’s activities engage creative minds of all ages. Ranging from fish prints to paper hats, activities are unique, often contain a recycled component and artworks will be cherished memento to take home.
RAFT concludes with the annual Rubber Duck Dash down the Juniata. Rubber ducks and chances to enter the race are sold prior to the event, at Mayfest and the Art Space. Proceeds support the HCAC’s Art in Education activities. Winners receive a choice of prize packages, including an Outdoor package, Art Package or Family Fun Package.
